See that stunning lady right there? That’s Jennifer Lawrence, as most of you probably know.
This lovely woman was recently rated the most desirable woman in the world by askmen.com, which polled more than 2.4 million guys and composed a list of the 99 hottest women.
And yet, I’m sure we all remember that Jennifer has been continuously harassed for being “fat” and “ugly.” In fact, she is quoted as saying, “In Hollywood, I’m considered an obese actress.”
And sure, she’s not a size 00. She doesn’t have a gap between her thighs. Her stomach isn’t perfectly flat. But you know what? She’s still gorgeous. She’s fit, and healthy, and her body is beautiful, and she knows it.
So despite the fact that she doesn’t necessarily fit our society’s messed-up standard of beauty, she was still picked as the most desirable woman in the entire world. Why? Because she’s confident, she’s down-to-earth, and she has an overall amazing personality. (And, she is physically beautiful, too!)
So ladies, stop thinking you have to get down to the lowest healthy BMI (or even an unhealthy BMI) to be beautiful. Stop skipping meals so you can look “as hot as a movie star.” I know pencil-thin girls who no one finds attractive, and I know bigger girls in extremely happy relationships. Your body doesn’t decide if you’re beautiful or not. Your attitude does. Confidence really is sexy. Love yourself, no matter what size, and others will love you too.
Jennifer reminds me of this every day. She is my true fitspiration <3
